Privacy summary

Carma stores the vehicle details, maintenance records, reminder data, and uploaded documents that you choose to add to your account.

Vehicle records stay private until you enable a vehicle share link or publish a sale brief. These are separate sharing controls: turning off one does not turn off the other.

Your records are used to power the core product experience, including dashboard views, reminders, document access, and public vehicle pages and sale briefs when enabled.

Document names and attachment details appear on an enabled vehicle share page. File contents stay private unless you explicitly select and approve them for a published sale brief. Review each file for personal information before sharing. Withdrawing a brief stops access through its link, but cannot retract copies someone already downloaded. You are responsible for having the right to upload and share your documents.

For accounts with document reading access, an owner can choose to send a new or existing document to the configured processor, Google Gemini or OpenAI, to suggest its type, date, service details, and organization. The upload form offers automatic reading after the file is saved. The original stays private, and suggestions do not change maintenance history or become public automatically. Gemini is enabled only for a confirmed paid-tier project; Google says paid-tier content is not used to improve its products. OpenAI API content is not used to train models by default, though standard abuse-monitoring retention may apply. Carma asks OpenAI not to store responses as conversation history.

In the seller workflow, eligible accounts can select areas on a JPG, PNG, or WebP receipt and download a newly flattened copy for an outside listing. If Gemini is connected on a confirmed paid-tier project, the owner can choose to send that private image to Gemini for suggested personal-information areas. Carma shows only validated categories and coordinates from the response, and the owner must accept each area. These suggestions are not saved and may miss details. Carma does not replace the original or add this copy to a buyer link. Selecting the receipt for a Carma buyer link still shares the original. PDF masking is not available yet. Inspect the whole downloaded file before sharing it.
